Tracking Legislation
|
This is a 2 ½ hour class designed to familiarize users with ways tofollow the process of legislation. We will look at resources to find legislators, track bills, and find laws and statutes for both South Carolina and the U.S. We’ll use the South Carolina Legislative Research website (scstatehouse.gov), other resources for state and county information, then go to Thomas.gov and FdSys (NEW!), for federal resources. We'll see what DISCUS (South Carolina's Virtual Library) resources can help with news and analysis. This is a good class for high school and/or college students, teachers, state employees and anyone who may be interested in following particular laws or bills on a state or federal level.
